Taras Fedirko is a senior research fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) in Vienna and an assistant professor at the University of Glasgow’s School of Social and Political Sciences. After completing a PhD in socio-cultural anthropology at Durham University, he held postdoctoral positions at the universities of Cambridge and St Andrews. He is the in-house lead of IWM’s Ukraine and the World research programme that supports research and documentation on Ukraine, and serves as the academic director of the Graduate School at the CEU-based Invisible University for Ukraine, a solidarity education initiative.
