The Ukrainian Science Diaspora in Austria is a nonprofit public organisation established in 2023 to unite Ukrainian scholars across migration waves and career stages. Our mission is to pool knowledge, networks, and resources for the reconstruction and development of Ukraine and to support the effective integration of Ukrainian researchers into the global scientific community. We champion empowerment—sustaining Ukraine’s scientific potential in times of crisis and contributing to renewal through knowledge and innovation. We foster collaboration by connecting researchers across disciplines and borders, because shared ideas and joint initiatives are the engines of progress. We also prioritise integration. We help scholars connect, adapt, and thrive within the international academic environment, and we cultivate cultural and scientific exchange. In practice, this means mentoring schemes, skills workshops, partnership building with Austrian institutions, joint grant initiatives, and forums for dialogue that translate research into impact. Guided by openness, professionalism, and service, we provide a stable platform where Ukrainian talent contributes to European science today while shaping a brighter future for Ukraine.
