Angela Schindler-Daniels is Head of the DLR Protektträger’s-Brussels Representation and a senior expert in EU research policy and project management. She has been active in European research programmes and international coordination since the 5th EU Framework Programme, with a particular focus on EU research funding (SSAH, ERC) and liaison between German organisations and European institutions.

Over the course of her career, she has held key roles including Programme Committee Delegate, National Expert to Programme Committees, EU Project Coordinator, and EU Project Partner. She has contributed to and led numerous European initiatives, notably coordinating Net4Society and serving as a project partner in HERA, TA-P, and TRAMI.

Angela also served as Second Chair of the EU Science Diplomacy Alliance, further strengthening collaboration between science and policy communities across Europe. Earlier in her career, she gained extensive transatlantic experience through ten years of service at the United States Embassy in Bonn, including working alongside the U.S. Science Attaché.
